I Sent My Parents $4,000 Every Month—Then I Overheard the Truth That Changed Everything

For fifteen years, I sent my parents $4,000 every single month without fail. I believed I was helping them after my father became too sick to work. The payments were supposed to be temporary. Instead, they became my entire adult life.
