At nine months pregnant, Jessica received a cold message from her husband telling her not to come home because his family needed privacy. Confused and shaken, she tried calling him, only to be dismissed and told to stay elsewhere while he entertained his relatives. Alone and increasingly frightened as contractions began, she realized she had no support from the man who was supposed to stand beside her.
When labor started progressing, she begged him to come with her to the hospital, but he refused again, calling her dramatic and needy. Left with no choice, she drove herself to the hospital in pain, unaware that what awaited her at home would be far worse than abandonment as she prepared to give birth alone just as something unsettling began to unfold.
