After spending eight months quietly renovating a house for her aging parents, a daughter arrives to celebrate their first month living there, only to find the home transformed into a baby shower venue by her sister-in-law Renata, who has already begun dismantling her mother’s sewing room and claiming the master bedroom for a future nursery. Her parents, meanwhile, have been shoved to the margins of their own house, her father eating standing up in the hallway so he won’t “block anyone.”
