THE FINAL TESTAMENT

My father left everything to my brother Henry and me, but only under one impossible condition that neither of us expected. When the lawyer opened the will, Henry was already planning how quickly he could claim his share and leave. He assumed the farmhouse, land, and money would simply be divided between us. But my father had other plans. The lawyer revealed that the entire inheritance depended on one condition, and if either of us refused, everything would disappear.

Henry laughed when he heard that we had to complete a task together before receiving anything. He thought Dad was being dramatic even after death. But then the lawyer placed a sealed envelope on the table with seven words written in my father’s handwriting: “Only together can you keep this.” My hands trembled as I opened it, knowing my father had left us something far more complicated than money. Then I read the first line, and Henry’s expression completely changed.
