Diabão Faro do Prado, widely known as “Diabão” or the Human Satan, is a Brazilian body modification artist who has undergone one of the most extreme physical transformations in modern times. Born in 1975 in Santos, São Paulo, he began as a tattoo artist before gradually committing to a lifelong process of altering his appearance into a deliberately demonic form. Over the years, his body has been covered almost entirely in black ink tattoos, while his head features multiple horn-like silicone implants. He has also removed his ears, reshaped parts of his face, split his tongue, modified his teeth into fang-like structures, and undergone various scarification procedures. His appearance has drawn international attention, making him both a controversial figure and a symbol within extreme body modification communities. Alongside his wife, who shares similar aesthetic transformations, he presents a unified visual identity that challenges conventional standards of beauty and identity. Supporters view him as a form of living art, while critics argue his choices raise concerns about psychological well-being and medical risk.

His transformation developed gradually over decades, starting with tattoos and evolving into increasingly invasive surgical modifications. Each stage involved significant physical risk, long recovery periods, and permanent changes, yet he has consistently described his journey as intentional self-expression and a way of reclaiming control over his body after a difficult past. Diabão often frames his appearance as a personal artistic statement shaped by experiences of hardship, identity exploration, and rebellion against social norms. His public presence on social media has amplified debate about bodily autonomy, ethics, and the limits of self-modification. While some admire his dedication and discipline, others view his transformation as extreme and concerning. Despite criticism, he continues to document his life and modifications openly, maintaining a strong following and influence in alternative body modification culture. His story remains a powerful and controversial example of how far human identity and physical form can be reshaped in pursuit of personal vision.
